Ray Tyler
Ray joined VR in the fall of 2005 bringing his extensive background
in complex sales to the business brokerage arena. Since that time
Ray has been involved in several successful transactions and is
now a valuable member of the VR team.
Ray is a native of North Carolina , a 1976 graduate of East Carolina
University , and completed post graduate work at North Carolina
State University . In his 17 year career in sales, Ray has a proven
track record of success. He is skilled in negotiation, project management,
problem solving, and communication, all vital to the process of
selling your business.
In the early 90's Ray was an Insurance Replacement Manager for
Zales Corporation, coordinating insurance replacement for over 50
stores in the Carolinas . After leaving Zales, Ray started a business
selling specialized educational products to the K-12 school market
and joined SRA/McGraw-Hill when one of his client companies was
acquired by McGraw-Hill.

Ray successfully sold up and down the chain of command within school
districts; from teachers to district superintendents to state committees.
He was particularly skilled in implementing large reading projects
targeting kids at risk of reading failure. Ray is well prepared
to handle all the complex steps necessary to completing a business
transaction.
