They found themselves in a unique niche in need of professional representation for acquisitions and divestitures; a niche historically under-serviced by the Real Estate and Investment Banking industries. In 1979, VR BUSINESS BROKERS was established to fill that void and address the needs of modern-day, forward thinking entrepreneurs.

Four years after founding VR, the original principals of the company, along with a collection of VR franchisees, created the International Business Brokers Association (I.B.B.A) to help standardize the practices of the business brokerage industry, generate a forum for new ideas, and provide a methodology for continuing education. VR has always been the pioneer of its industry, and continues to pave the path that others persistently follow.
